Pittston K-9 Units receive funds from DeMinico Memorial Game

Checks were presented to the Pittston City and Pittston Twp. K-9 units on March 6 from the 12th annual Eugene R. DeMinico II Memorial Basketball Game. Each K-9 unit received $1700 from local businesses and raffles conducted during the game. Over the last four years, $7,560 has been raised for each police K-9 Unit, for a total of $15,120. The basketball game honors of the memory of Eugene DeMinico II, a local police officer and military veteran who was awarded the Army Commendation Medal of Valor during the Iraq War and whose life was cut tragically short.
