Brandon Matthews will try to bounce back from his worst round of the year and his first two missed cuts when the Web.com Tour returns from a 2 ½-week break with the North Mississippi Classic April 19-22.
A 23-year-old Pittston Area graduate, Matthews made his first three cuts this season and was 5-for-6 for his career over the past two seasons before struggling in the last two outings before the break.
By earning $7,543 while playing in five of the six tournaments, Matthews ranks 103rd on the money list for the tour, which has 23 regular-season events to set up the final four of the season.
Matthews shot 73-72—145 to finish 3-over-par at the Chitimacha Louisiana Open and miss the cut.
After opening the Savannah Golf Championship with a 4-under-par, 68, Matthews soared to an 82 and missed the cut.
