EXETER — The 72nd annual John A. Allan Invitational is scheduled to conclude Sunday, June 24.
The tournament features three types of competition.
Championship Flight play, which began Friday with 24 teams pursuing 16 spots in the match-play brackets, is scheduled to be down to its final four. Barring weather-related schedule changes, the semifinals will be held in the morning with the championship match likely beginning in the 2-2:30 range.
There are consolation events for teams eliminated from the Championship Flight, including a medal play competition among those that failed to reach the elimination brackets.
There are 78 other teams that are entered flights competition with match play scheduled for all three days of the event.
The flight winners will all advance to a Shootout Sunday afternoon right after the championship match takes the course. The Shootout is likely to start in the 2:30-3 p.m. range.
