Record-setting, all-state running back Brendan Mozeleski leads a group of five Old Forge players on the County roster for Wednesday’s 84th annual Scranton Lions Club-sponsored Dream Game.
The all-star game for recent graduates from the Lackawanna Football Conference is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Valley View’s John Henzes/Veterans Memorial Stadium in Peckville.
Mozeleski surpassed 2,000 yards on the season and became Old Forge’s all-time leading rusher on the way to the Class A all-state recognition from Pennsylvania Sports Writers. He was also the leading tackler as linebacker for the Blue Devils team that won the District 1-2 Class A Subregional championship and finished 12-2.
Two-way linemen King Shakim-Rose, Lexus Souryavong, Nick D’Andrea and Michael Hopkins are the other Blue Devils on the team coached by Valley View’s George Howanitz. Only LFC Division 1 champion Delaware Valley, a Class 6A school, has more.
Mozeleski rushed for 2,075 yards and 28 touchdowns last season to push his career totals to 3,657 yards, 50 rushing touchdowns and 56 total touchdowns.
