District 2 released pairings, schedules and first-round starting times for its field hockey and boys soccer tournaments Sunday and followed it up by releasing girls soccer Monday night.

The information released included:

FIELD HOCKEY

Wyoming Area and Pittston Area are part of Tuesday’s quarterfinal action.

The Lady Warriors (15-1-2) earned the second seed among 12 teams that pursued spots in the eight-team Class A field, meaning they can host the first two rounds of the playoffs, at least, if they in the quarterfinals.

Wyoming Area is home against seventh-seeded Nanticoke (10-7-1). If it wins, the Hanover Area/Lake-Lehman winner will visit Thursday to play for a spot in the Oct. 30 final.

Pittston Area (1-13-0) is the last seed in the open six-team Class 2A tournament and will play at third-seeded Dallas (9-6-1). The winner plays in Friday’s 4 p.m. semifinal at second-seeded Coughlin (9-6-1).

Wyoming Seminary is the top seed in Class A while Wyoming Valley West is seeded first in Class 2A.

BOYS SOCCER

Wyoming Area will open the Class 2A tournament Thursday with a quarterfinal game at second-seeded Lakeland (15-2-0). The Warriors are seeded seventh with a 10-4-4 record.

Both Wyoming Area and Pittston Area were in 14-team races for eight district playoff berths. The Patriots went 2-14-1 and fell short of making the Class 3A field.

GIRLS SOCCER

Wyoming Area is the second seed in Class 2A.

The Lady Warriors (13-5) will host seventh-seeded Wyoming Seminary (6-7) Thursday at 4 p.m.

The tournament continues with semifinals Oct. 30 and the final Nov. 1.

Pittston Area did not qualify in Class 3A.
