Old Forge used two kickoff returns for touchdowns to take a halftime lead, but was unable to generate any other scoring Friday night while falling to host Lackawanna Trail, 29-12, in the District 2 Class A football championship game.

Lackawanna Trail avenged its only loss of the season in a game that had decided the Lackawanna Football Conference Division 4 title.

Old Forge went 4-0 in the division and 8-2 in the regular season.

The Blue Devils got the playoffs off to a positive start when Tommy Souriyavong returned the opening kickoff 85 yards for a 6-0 lead.

After Lackawanna Trail took the lead for 12 seconds later in the first quarter, Tyler Carey returned the kickoff 80 yards for a touchdown and the 12-7 lead that held up through halftime.
