Pittston Area junior guard Brennan Higgins was selected as a first-teamer in Division 1 when Wyoming Valley Conference boys basketball coaches met to select their all-star teams.

Nick Prociak, a Holy Redeemer senior post player from Jenkins Twp., was a first-team pick in Division 3.

Mike George from Pittston Area was a second-team pick in Division 1.

Pete Moses, the former Wyoming Area coach, was named Division 3 Coach of the Year in his first season leading Wyoming Seminary.

The coaches also selected the players for the April 5 Dr. George Moses WVC Senior All-Star Game.

Prociak will play on a team led by the coaches from Meyers, GAR and Coughlin, which are merging into a new Wilkes-Barre Area team for next season.

Pittston Area’s Sevion Leak and Wyoming Area’s Daniel Wiedl have been selected to play on the team that will be coached by John Beggs from Nanticoke and Spencer Lunger from Tunkhannock.

Girls coaches also picked their all-star teams.

Wyoming Area’s Aleah Kranson and Nicole Silinskie made the second team in Division 2 while Pittston Area’s Krista Maurizi made the second team in Division 1.
