Evan Musto continues to make the most of his limited opportunities with the Kutztown University baseball team.
For the second straight season, the junior catcher/first baseman is batting .429 for the Golden Bears.
The junior from Wyoming Area went 6-for-14 with three doubles, two runs and four RBI in nine games last season.
Musto was 3-for-4 with two walks before going 0-for-3 in his most recent game, his second start of the season, April 18 against East Stroudsburg, to drop his average down to .429.
Although he is listed as an infielder on the roster, Musto started at catcher April 13 in one game of a doubleheader against Lock Haven. He has played in five games total, making his other start as designated hitter and pinch hitting three times.
In two of the game that he was a pinch hitter, Musto came into the game to play first base after batting.
Musto was 0-for-7 in four games as a freshman.
Kutztown, a National Collegiate Athletic Association Division II team, is 4-20 in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference and 5-30 overall.
