DePrimo Memorial Fund
1st Lt Jeffrey DePrimo Memorial Fund will host heroes from the VA and Gino Merli Center at its annual picnic July 14 at Frances Slocum State Park, in coordination with American Legion Post 542.’
The organization’s golf tournament will be held Aug. 10 at Sand Springs Golf Club in Drums. Information available to deprimogolf.col. Sponsors are currently being sought.
Annual scholarships were recently presented to Pittston Area graduate Gabrielle Stone and Wyoming Area graduate Candace Bullaro.
PA football boosters
The Pittston Area Football Booster Club will hold a parent and player meeting at 6 p.m. Monday, July 15 at the Cefalo center. All parents and players are encouraged to attend. Media day, Meet the Patriots and upcoming fundraisers will be discussed.
WA lacrosse camp
The Wyoming Area boys and girls lacrosse teams will conduct a kids camp from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 17 to Friday, July 19 at the Wyoming Area lacrosse field (behind the Tenth Street School). Cost is $60 ($40 for additional siblings). Participants should bring cleats, sneakers, drink, stick (some will be available on a first-come/ first-served basis). WA baseball camp

Waleski Basketball Camp
Registrations are being accepted for the Stan Waleski Basketball Camp to be held for boys and girls in grades K through 8 at the Greater Pittston YMCA June 24 to Aug. 2. The camp stresses skills, fundamentals, competitions, team play and fun with all players receiving a camp certificate and t shirt. Miles for Michael
The 2019 Miles for Michael/Tomato Festival 5K and Fun Walk will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 17. Registration is at 8:30 a.m. on race day at the Pittston YMCA or online at runsignup.com/pittstontomatofest.
