Matt Sorick shot a 2-over-par, 37 Thursday to lead Wyoming Area to a 162-172 victory over host MMI Prep in a Wyoming Valley Conference golf opener at Valley Country Club.
Cole Coolbaugh added a 40 and J.T. Gober’s 41 matched the best score turned in by MMI, from Christien Homnack.
Chase Yochem shot 44 to complete the Wyoming Area team score.
