All six Pittston Area players finished between 85 and 92 in the season-opening Tom Tryba Tournament at Fox Hill Country Club Monday.
The Patriots used the balance to finish ahead of five other teams, placing eighth out of 13 full teams in the standings.
Nick Scavo, who shot a 38 on the back nine, and Derek Cunius both finished with 85s.
Zach Valeski and Tyler Wassel shot 87s to complete the four-man team score.
Frank Nocito added an 89 and Karl Pecha a 92.
Logan Paczewski shot a tournament record 7-under-par, 64 to lead Dallas to a team score of 300 and the team championship by 12 strokes over Holy Redeemer.
Pittston Area shot a team score of 344.
Wyoming Area was 11th with a 352.
Chase Yochem led the Warriors with an 83.
J.T. Gober shot 86 while Matt Sorick shot 90 and Cole Coolbaugh 93.
Pittston Area season outlook
Pittston Area has a veteran team with five returning starters and another player who has gained some experience while being in the program the past two years.
Seniors Nick Scavo and Derek Cunius are both four-year starters.
Zach Valeski, Tyler Wassel and Karl Pecha all started last season as freshmen.
Mike Nocito is a junior, who has been on the team the past two years.
Other than a loss to powerful Dallas in the Wyoming Valley Conference opener, second-year coach Jason Miller said he expects his team to be a threat against every opponent.
“I feel like we can beat any other team,” Miller said. “I feel like we’ll be in every match.
“Everyone has gotten better. We’re practicing every day and everybody’s a year older.”

Chase Yochem shot a 5-over-par, 40 at Fox Hill Wednesday to lead the way as Wyoming Area improved to 2-0 in WVC Division 2, tied for the best start with Holy Redeemer.
Cole Coolbaugh and Matt Sorick shot 43s and J.T. Gober had a 44.

Sophomore Zach Valeski medaled for the first time and broke 40 in a high school match for the first time with a 39 at Wilkes-Barre Golf Club early Friday to lead Pittston Area to its first win of the season.
Tyler Wassel and Derek Cunius each shot 46.

Wyoming Area won the top two singles spots, but Holy Redeemer used its depth and a three-set win at second doubles to pull out the victory Tuesday in the Wyoming Valley Conference opener.
The Lady Royals were second in the conference a year ago with a 12-1 record.
Brianna Pizzano defeated Tia Amerise, 6-3, 6-3, at first singles. Bella Scappaticci downed Cassie Benderavich, 6-3, 6-4, at second singles.
Cara Yorina and Kaitlyn Slusser won the second set in their second doubles match before Sarah Stettler and Vanessa Pinto won that point for Holy Redeemer.
