Brianna Pizzano and Bella Scappaticci won the first two singles matches, 6-0, 6-0, Friday afternoon to lead Wyoming Area to a 4-1 Wyoming Valley Conference girls tennis victory over host Pittston Area.
Pizzano defeated Sarah Armitage while Scappaticci defeated Rachel Senese.
The Lady Warriors won all three points at singles.
Abigail Drendell defeated Izabelle Lewis, 6-2, 6-7 (4-7), 6-3.
The teams split in doubles, including another three-set match.
Pittston Area’s only point came from first doubles where Dana Zuba-Krishna Patel defeated Cara Yorina-Kaitlyn Slusser, 6-4, 3-6, 6-4.
Wyoming Area took second doubles. Sarah McCormick-Amanda McCormick topped Hannah Farber-Kylie Herbert, 6-2, 6-0.
Wyoming Area improved to 4-3 in the WVC and 4-5 overall. Pittston Area dropped to 2-6.
