Rebecca Prociak reached a career milestone and helped King’s College secure its third straight trip to the Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom women’s basketball playoffs during Wednesday’s 74-68, home-court win over Misericordia university.
Prociak, a senior from Jenkins Township and Holy Redeemer High School, finished with 14 points and eight rebounds. She scored the 1,500th point of her career.
King’s improved to 9-4 in the MAC Freedom and 15-9 overall while dropping Misericordia to 9-3 and 20-4.
Prociak celebrated Senior Day Feb. 15 with a big game in a 95-78 victory over arch-rival Wilkes University. She went 11-for-14 from the floor and finished with 25 points, 10 rebounds, seven assists, five blocked shots and two steals.
On the season, Prociak is averaging 18.1 points and 10.3 rebounds, both career-highs.
