EXETER — The 10th Annual Wyoming Area Scholarship Celebration was held May 23 in the high school gymnasium.
This year, 14 new scholarships were added.
Scholarships are offered by families, individuals, individual Wyoming Area graduating classes, civic organizations, businesses and school groups, including faculty. There are memorials for community members who have died funded by their families, friends or organizations to which they belonged.
The 13th new scholarship was the HEART AWARD donated by the Borzell family in memory of John Anthony “Beno” Borzell. Recipient of this award was Daniel Wiedl.
The 14th new scholarship was donated through the Luzerne Foundation by an anonymous donor who designated it be awarded to a Wyoming Area graduating senior. Megan Lee was this year’s recipient selected by the Luzerne Foundation.
The 11th Annual Scholarship Celebration will be held Wednesday, May 20, 2020 in the high school gymnasium.
Rosella Fedor and Juel Anne Klepadlo chair this program with the support of the entire Wyoming Area community.
