Bills for 2017 Luzerne County and municipal real estate taxes have been mailed, the county treasurer’s office said.
The only exceptions are in Hazleton and Nanti- coke, where municipal officials opted to issue their own separate bills for city taxes, the treasurer’s office said.
According to the office:
Tax collectors can start accepting payments Feb. 8, depending on their hours. Property owners who pay by April 7 will receive a 2 percent discount. A 10 percent penalty will be added after June 7. The final payment deadline is Dec. 29.
