Pre-K and K orientation
The annual Pre-K and Kindergarten Orientation is Wednesday, Aug. 21 beginning at 10 a.m. The orientation is for students and parents registered for the Pre-K and Kindergarten classes. Teachers Mrs. Erin Weiss, Pre-K and Ms. Stephanie De Phillips, along with the aides Mrs. Carolyn Suhocki and Mrs. Ann DeLucca, will introduce students to the classroom and to the outdoor playground to play.
Parent will meet with Principal Mrs. Eileen Rishcoff to explain routines of the school and to assist in paperwork. Lunch will be provided for all.
Back to School Ice Cream Social
Wyoming Area Catholic School’s annual Back to School Ice Cream Social will take place Tuesday, Aug. 20 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. All games and activities along with a visit from the balloon guy will take place in the Wyoming Area Catholic gym. It will be a night of re-connecting as we begin the new school year. R.S.V.P. to 570-654-7982 with total number of people attending.
Back to School Night
Parents are invited to Back to School/Meet the Teachers Night on Wednesday, Aug 28 at 6 p.m. The night will begin in the gym with a welcome from Mrs. Eileen Rishcoff. Mrs. Rishcoff will introduce faculty and staff. Afterwards our PTG president Mrs. Lisa Pribula will talk about upcoming PTG sponsored events.
Mark Stransky, instrumental teacher and band director, will be at this assembly to explain instrumental music lessons and school band for students in graded 3-6.
Parents will move to the classrooms at 6:20 p.m. to meet the teachers and receive information about the curriculum.
First week of school schedule
First day of school for students of Wyoming Area Catholic will be Monday, Aug. 26. Students will be dismissed at 11 a.m. every day that week.
Upon arrival to the school students will report to the gym/cafeteria.
Bus riders will be dropped off in the morning at the main entrance. All car riders are to enter the school through the main front door no earlier than 7:30 a.m.
