James and Genevieve (Jean) Bennie, formerly Yurish, of Moosic, celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on Oct. 23.
The couple was united in marriage at St. John the Baptist Church in Pittston by Fr. Phillip Sladicka. The best man was William Jackson and maid of honor, Mary Ann (Yurish) Romanoski.
The couple has one son, James, and his wife Aubrey, and one granddaughter, Gabriella, 2 1/2.
A family dinner was recently held in their honor.
