Organ Concert for All Hallows Eve, 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 19 at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 35 William St., Pittston, with parish organist and music director Michael Sowa presenting music for All Saints Day and All Souls Day with a little Halloween mischief thrown in for fun. A free will offering will be accepted for care and upkeep of the church’s Kilgen pipe organ, originally built in 1930.

Halloween Dinner Dance, Oct. 25 at Dupont VFW Post 4909 Main Banquet Hall, 401 Main St., Dupont, with entertainment by the Fabulous 45’s. Doors open at 5 p.m., dinner will be served at 6 and music will be 7 to 10 p.m. Tickets are $30 per person. For reservations see or call Bob Lopata at the V.F.W. 570-472-1152. Pittston Trick or Treat on Main Street, 4 to 6 p.m. Oct. 25, Lower Tomato Festival Lot, 77 S. Main St., Pittston. Walk the downtown streets, explore The Haunted Village, enjoy music and entertainment, snap selfies, fill their bags with candy on the Trick or Treat Trail, and visit businesses, restaurants and pubs.

Susquehanna Brewing Co. Adult Trunk or Treat, 5 to 9 p.m. Oct. 25, 635 S. Main St., Pittston. Vendors, food trucks (Sammy’s Caribbean Grill & The Lunchbox), music by DJ Bombay, costume contests, and prizes. Entrance Fee: $10 (includes your first pint).

Dia de los Muertos, for ages 7 and older, 6:15 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 30 at the West Pittston Library, 200 Exeter Ave., West Pittston. If you’ve seen the Disney film “Coco” you know the Mexican holiday of Dia de los Muertas is not something scary, but celebrates the importance of family, community, a sense of belonging, tradition and remembrance. This event will help kids better understand the holiday with facts and traditions, photos, videos and a few fun hands-on projects! Feel free to bring a photo of a loved one who has passed on to add to our ofrenda. You will return home with it after the event. For more info, call the library at 570-654-9847.
