LAFLIN — The Sunshine Club, made up of women in their 80s and 90s, gathers every other week to produce blankets to be given away to those in need each month. Blankets purchased by Wesley Village are then donated to the Department of Veterans Affairs Wilkes-Barre Medical Center, a cancer center, nursing homes, ill children, and people who are lonely, according to Joan Pribula, a resident at Meyer Manor, Wesley Village.
