AVOCA — Queen of the Apostles Parish held its fifth annual all-you-can-eat pig roast Sunday, July 17 on the grounds of the parish hall in the former St. Mary’s School, corner of Hawthorne and Spring streets.
The menu included roasted pig on the spit, wimpies, hot dogs, corn on the cob, salads, desserts, soda, and water. There was also be a cash prize grand raffle, basket raffle, children’s games and a bake sale.
