William and Charlotte (korpusik) Balchune, of Duryea, celebrated 50 years of marriage Feb. 4.
The couple was married Feb. 4, 1967 at Holy Rosary Church in Duryea by Reverend Henry B. Korpusik.
William began his journey in the United States Navy, before becoming a husband, father, grandfather and a Pennsylvania State Trooper. Charlotte, a retired nurse, is also a wife, mother and grandmother.
Children include William Balchune and his wife, Michelle; Brandon Balchune and wife, Lisa Bartolomei; Chartan Innamorati and husband, Jamison; Brianne Balchune, Bridgette Porier and husband, Martin; Brittany Bomber and husband, Lee.
Grandchildren include Staci Giarraton and husband Ross; Kyla Balchune, Nina Balchune, Giavanna Innamorati, Emerson and Sadie Bomber; Remington Poirer.
The couple celebrated with close family at a luncheon Jan. 28 at Café Italia in Pittston.
