Freshman Orientation to be held at Pittston Area High School on Aug. 24

YATESVILLE — Pittston Area High School will host a Freshmen Orientation from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 24.

All students entering ninth grade, or newly enrolled transfer students in grades 9 through 12 and their parents/guardians are encouraged to attend.

Students are to report to the high school auditorium promptly at 9 a.m. for a short presentation. Students will have the opportunity to receive their schedules, locker locations, and student handbooks. Also, students and parents will be able to tour the school and meet teachers, counselors and principals.

Ninth-grade students who will attend the Wilkes-Barre Area Career and Technical Center in the Career Exploration Program should attend the Freshman Orientation. Students enrolled in the Headstart Program at the WBACTC do not have to attend.
