WEST PITTSTON — Sarah Baylor, of West Pittston, has been named recipient of this year’s Cherry Blossom Scholarship.
Baylor is a member of the Wyoming Area Class of 2018. She was a member of the Wyoming Area field hockey team for six years, and is now enjoying her sixth and final season as a member of the track and field team.
She competes in auto racing with her family and plans to continue this for as long as she can. She works as a receptionist and party planner.
Through Leadership Wilkes Barre, Baylor and a group of high school students partnered to make an impact on Victory Sports, an organization that supports members of our community with physical and intellectual disabilities and she continues to help her community by advising the next class of leaders.
Baylor will attend Kutztown University in the fall and major in Business Administration.
