Holy Hour is held every Wednesday from 6 to 7 p. m. followed by the Mass and the novena prayers to St. Joseph and St. Joseph Marello.
The Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is held from 6 to 7 p.m. every Wednesday in the seminary chapel at St. Joseph’s Oblate Seminary. It includes recitation of the Rosary and opportunity for confessions. Holy Mass is celebrated at 7 p.m., followed by Novena prayers to St. Joseph and St. Joseph Marello, founder of the Oblates of St. Joseph religious congregation. A Rosary Rally will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8 in honor of the Immaculate Conception. Marian Fatima Prayers, a scriptural Rosary and Hymns will be offered to Our Blessed Mother on her special Solemnity. The Rally will be held outside, weather permitting or in the Chapel. A mass will follow immediately after the Rally at 4 p.m.
An Advent Healing Mass sponsored by the Enthronement Guild of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary will take place at 3 p.m. Dec. 15. The Mass will include Healing Anointing for participants. Rev. Joseph Sibilano, OSJ, rector of the seminary, will be the celebrant. The Sacred Heart Singers, directed by Ernie Pappa will provide music for the event with a prelude of contemporary selections beginning at 2:30 p.m.
A special Advent/Christmas evening of Marian devotion will take place at 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 16 hosted by the Oblates of St. Joseph to enhance the season of expectation of our young Lord. The prayer service will include the Christmas rosary, prayers, carols and scriptural mysteries led by Ernie Pappa who will facilitate the evening.
