WEST PITTSTON – The West Pittston Historical Society will be hosting an event to showcase borough memorabilia from their collection at the West Pittston Library on Saturday, March 18, from noon to 3 p.m. The public is invited to attend.

“The historical society has been hosting history day in an effort to showcase our outstanding collection of West Pittston historical items and memorabilia and also to encourage the public to share their personal West Pittston related items with the society for documentation,” Mary Portelli, West Pittston Historical Society president, said. “We have onsite scanning available for digitizing items brought in by the public.”

Visitors are also invited to bring along old photos, slides, school items and memorabilia they think will contribute to continuing the legacy of West Pittston’s history.

All digitized items will be returned that day.
