<p>Luzerne County Councilman Brian Thornton, a Wyoming Area Catholic alumn, presented a check for $280,000 from money secured through Act 13, money collected from fracking. The money will be tied in for use with Exeter Borough, Exeter Little League, and Exeter Panther Junior football. Seventh grade students holding the check are Bridget DePhillips and Tyler Vecchi.</p>

EXETER — Wyoming Area Catholic School held a blessing ceremony to dedicate the new $500,000 parking lot located at the front of the school on Wyoming Ave. on Friday afternoon.

School Principal Eileen Rishcoff served as host with remarks by the Diocese of Scranton Superintendent of Schools Kristen Donahue, Fr. Michael Drevitch, who performed the blessing, Exeter Mayor Denise Adams and a special check presentation from Luzerne Co. Councilman Brian Thornton who presented a check from the county for $280,000 from Act 13 money.
