Clear skies and cooler temperatures are expected to stick around the Wyoming Valley this weekend.

The National Weather Service indicated it was 47 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, and mostly clear skies were reported.

Mostly cloudy skies are expected today, along with a slight chance of showers between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. Winds could also gust as high was 29 miles per hour. The high will be near 51.

Mostly clear skies will follow into tonight, with a low around 27.

Sunny skies are predicted for Saturday, with a high near 49. Mostly clear skies will carry over into Saturday night, with a low around 29.

Sunny skies will round out the weekend on Sunday, with a high near 50. Mostly clear skies will follow into Sunday night, with a low around 31.
