Make candy on Feb. 13
PITTSTON — Candy making will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday, Feb. 13. Cost is $3 and it is required to pre-register.
Members will go over Income Tax Preparation from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 13. Call the center to register as this is by appointment only.
A Valentines Day Lunch and Celebration will be held Tuesday, Feb. 14.
February birthdays will be celebrated Friday, Feb. 17.
The center will be closed Monday, Feb. 20 in observance of Presidents Day.
A Mardi Gras Lunch and Celebration will be held Tuesday, Feb. 28.
Membership dues for 2017 are now being accepted. Suggested donation is $5. Members are asked to supply any changes to their information.
Line dancing classes with Sue are held at 10 a.m. every Monday. Exercise classes with Catherine and Ruth are held at 9 a.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Sandi offers chair exercise classes at 11 a.m. Tuesdays and at 9 a.m. Thursdays.
There is no charge for these classes.
Ceramic Class with Ann is held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesdays. Bingo with Ron and Amy is held from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesdays and Fridays and also from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesdays. Shuffleboard matches are held at 10 a.m. Wednesdays where the men challenge the women. Helen Shannon is the captain. Craft class with Faye is held at 10 a.m. Thursdays. Wii Bowling with John is also offered.
FALLS ACTIVE ADULT CENTER
Chocolate dip strawberries and pretzels Feb. 13
EXETER TWP. — From 10:30 a.m. to noon Monday, Feb. 13, there will be chocolate dipping of strawberries and pretzels. Supplies will be provided at no cost and participants must RSVP by Friday, Feb. 10.
A Valentine’s Day Special Lunch and Celebration will be held Tuesday, Feb. 14. Following the lunch, the Jolly Seniors will lead in a sing-a-long.
At 12:15 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, Dr. John Guarnieri from Wyoming Valley Medical Clinic will discuss Osteoporosis during Lunch & Learn.
Zumba Gold is restarting 9:15 a.m. Friday, Feb. 17 and will be held until 10 a.m. Geri-Fit will start at 10:15 a.m. on Fridays and last until 11 a.m. Geocaching will be held from 9 a.m. until noon.
The center will be closed Monday, Feb. 20 in observance of Presidents Day.
At 12:15 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, Mary Reeves from Golden Living in Tunkhannock will be on-hand during Lunch & Learn. Her topic is “How to Keep a Healthy Heart.”
From 10 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, Feb. 22, a staff member from Pennsylvania State Representative Karen Boback’s office will be available to assist with rent rebate and property tax forms.
From 12:20 to 12:50 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, blood pressure will be taken by a registered nurse from the Meadows. A bingo sponsored by the Meadows will follow.

ST. JOSEPH SENIOR SOCIAL CLUB
Meeting is Feb. 16
PITTSTON — St. Joseph’s Senior Social Club will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16 at St. Joseph Marello Parish, 237 William St.
Plans for St Joseph’s table, which will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday March 15, will be discussed. A luncheon is being catered by Arcaro & Janell.
Be prepared to make payments at the February meeting. Reservations are being taken and deadline is March 6. For more information, call Rose Marie at 570-654-0046.
Dues for 2017 will be accepted at this meeting and afterwards refreshments will be served and bingo and cards will follow.
