Cipriani appointed to PennSERVE Advisory Board
DALLAS TWP. — Joseph Cipriani, Ed.D., O.T.R./L., professor of occupational therapy at Misericordia University, has been appointed as a commissioner to the PennSERVE Advisory Board by Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf.
He will service a two-year term.
A resident of West Wyoming, Dr. Cipriani earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wilkes College, and a Bachelor of Science degree in occupational therapy from Misericordia University.
At Wichita State University, Wichita, Kansas, he earned a Master of Arts degree in psychology. Dr. Cipriani received his doctorate in higher education from Nova Southeastern University, Fort Lauderdale, Florida
Sobeski-Reedy named JDAP Treasurer
WILKES-BARRE — The Juvenile Defenders Association of Pennsylvania (JDAP) has recently named Attorney Cheryl Sobeski-Reedy, of the Luzerne County Public Defender’s Office, to serve as Treasurer for a two year term.
Sobeski-Reedy, of Exeter, serves on the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania’s Juvenile Court Procedural Rules Committee, the Luzerne County Juvenile Justice Task Force and has been a JDAP Board of Directors member since 2012.
A practicing attorney since 1994, her Juris Doctorate degree is from Hofstra University School of Law, New York. She is an honors graduate of Marist College, New York, studied abroad at Manchester College, Oxford University, England, and has been admitted to practice law in the Pennsylvania state and federal Courts and U.S. Supreme Court.
Residents earn degrees from Kutztown University
KUTZTOWN — Samanthan Lyn Sciapli, Harding, and John Zuder, Pittston, recently earned their degrees from Kutztown University after the 2016 fall semester.
Sciapli graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Special Education/Visual Impairment Cum Laude and Zuder earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electronic Media.
Werbin named to deans list
WORCESTER, MA — Michael Werbin, West Pittston, was recently named to the Becker College deans list for the 2016 fall semester.
Werbin is pursing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interactive Media Design.
