Three basketball players from Wyoming Area and two from Pittston Area received first-team honors when Wyoming Valley Conference coaches selected their all-star teams last week.
The Pittston Area and Wyoming Area girls each had two players receive first-team recognition and placed one on the second team.
Taryn Ashby and Kirsten Durling were first-team Division 1 selections for Pittston Area while Alexa Noone was chosen for the second team.
Wyoming Area placed Sarah Holweg and Addison Orzel on the first team and Katie Wolfgang on the second team in Division 2.
Sam Greenfield represented Wyoming Area on the first team in Division 2 boys.
Pittston Area’s Chris Klein was a second-team choice in Division 1 boys.
The WVC boys coaches also announced the coaches and players for the Dr. George P. Moses Senior All-Star Game to be played March 31 at Holy Redeemer.
Pittston Area’s Alan Kiesinger will join Wyoming Seminary’s C.J. Kersey as co-coaches of one team while Mark Atherton from Crestwood and Pat Toole from Meyers will coach the other.
Chris Klein and Patrick Mitchell will represent Pittston Area while Anthony Nardell and Tony Saitta will represent Wyoming Area in the game.
