Easter egg coloring is April 10

PITTSTON — An Easter coloring class will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday, April 10. Cost is $3 to participate.

The center will be closed Friday, April 14 for Good Friday.

A pizza, games and card party will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 18. Cost to attend is $3 which includes pizza, soda and snacks.

A special bingo with Highland Manor will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 21.

April birthdays will be celebrated at 11:45 a.m. Friday, April 21.

An afternoon tea party will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, April 24.

There will be a Volunteer Special Dinner and Program Thursday, April 27. Volunteers who assist with at least 12 hours per month this past year will be honored.

There will be no bowling league Thursday, April 27.

The Spring Fling will be held Saturday, April 29. cost to attend is $4 per person or $8 per couple. There will be music by George Rittenhouse.

A trip to Sands Casino will be Thursday, May 4. Cost is $28 with $20 in free play and $5 off food.

A banquet for the bowling league will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 8.

A trip to Hollywood Casino will be Thursday, June 1. Cost to attend is $28 with $20 in free play and $5 off food.

Membership dues for 2017 are now being accepted. Suggested donation is $5. Members are asked to supply any changes to their information.

Line dancing classes with Sue are held at 10 a.m. every Monday. Exercise classes with Catherine and Ruth are held at 9 a.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Sandi offers chair exercise classes at 11 a.m. Tuesdays and at 9 a.m. Thursdays.

There is no charge for these classes.

Ceramic Class with Ann is held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesdays. Bingo with Ron and Amy is held from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesdays and Fridays and also from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesdays. Shuffleboard matches are held at 10 a.m. Wednesdays where the men challenge the women. Helen Shannon is the captain. Craft class with Faye is held at 10 a.m. Thursdays. Wii Bowling with John is also offered.

FALLS ACTIVE ADULT CENTER

Lunch & Learn is April 16

EXETER TWP. — The center will close at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 11.

An Easter musical presentation will be from 11 to 11:40 a.m. Thursday, April 13 by Rev. Gideon Giatano, a tenor concert vocalist.

The center will be closed Friday, April 14 for Good Friday.

Lunch & Learn will be held at 12:15 p.m. Thursday, April 16 with a presentation by Cheryl McGovern, RN from the PA Department of Health on Hepatitis C. An Easter celebration and luncheon will be held.

From 10 a.m. until Noon Wednesday, April 19, Pattie Gregorio will conduct a hands on workshop entitled “Pamper Your Skin and Add a Touch of Glamour.”

Wed. April 19, Lynn from Greenbriar will lead a game of Family Feud after lunch.

Lunch & Learn at 12:15 p.m. Thursday, April 20 will feature Tom Cawley from Cawley Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation. Cawley will discuss dizziness, balance and fall prevention.

Lunch & Learn will be held at 12:15 p.m. Thursday, April 27 with a presentation on “How Exercise Can Improve Balance and Back Pain” by Physical Therapist Tom Cawley. A volunteer recognition lunch and celebration will be held.

ST. JOSEPH SENIOR SOCIAL CLUB

Club meeting April 20

PITTSTON — The club will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 20 at St. Joseph Marello Parish, 237 William St.

Membership dues for 2017 will be accepted at this meeting.

After the meeting, refreshments will be served and bingo and cards will follow.

Servers for this meeting are Sara Howanietz, Gertie Kichilinsky, Marion Licata and Sandra Pazkowski. Servers should be there at 12:30 p.m.to help set up.

Members are also to bring staples for St. John’s food pantry.

New members are welcome, and membership is open to anyone age 55 or older.

JENKINS TOWNSHIP SENIOR CITIZENS

Monthly meeting is April 11

JENKINS TWP. — The Jenkins Township Senior Citizens will hold their regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, April 11 at the Jenkins Township Hose Company.

A slate of candidates for office will be presented and nominations will also be taken from the floor. An election of officers will be held during the business meeting.

Bingo will follow the business meeting and refreshments will be served.

Hostesses for this meeting will be Ruth Musto and Carol Matusavage.

Dues are still being collected.
