Residents recognized for extracurricular activities
WILKES-BARRE — Wilkes University recognized the following Greater Pittston residents at the Extracurricular Awards Luncheon for their contributions to activities outside the classroom.
Emily Kneeream, West Wyoming, received the Alumni Association Volunteer Award presented by Office of Alumni Relations. Kayla Wedlock, West Pittston, received the Helping Hands Service Award – LEAP presented by Office of Civic Engagement. Nicole Cumbo, West Wyoming, received the e-Mentor, Graduating Seniors Recognition presented by Office of Student Development. Morgan DeAngelo, Exeter, received the National Society of Leadership and Success presented by Office of Student Development, as well as the Helping Hands Service Award – LEAP presented by Office of Civic Engagement.
Homa recognized as Green Dot Ambassador
ANNVILLE — Tanner Homa, Exeter, is one of 49 Lebanon Valley College graduates recognized as Green Dot ambassadors during the College’s 149th Commencement on May 12.
Homa, a graduate of Wyoming Area High School, received a bachelor of science and bachelor of arts in music education and music at The Valley.
Flanagan inducted into honor society
SCRANTON — Krista Flanagan, Exeter, was inducted into The University of Scranton’s Alpha Sigma Nu, the national Jesuit honor society.
Flanagan is a senior majoring in biochemistry at the Jesuit university.
Taggart graduates Magna Cum Laude
YORK — Mari Taggart, Wyoming, graduated Magna Cum Laude from York College of Pennsylvania on May 12.
Taggart earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality Management.
Anthony and Dolores Caltagirone, Dupont, recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. A dinner will be held with family in Williamsburg, Virginia to celebrate the occasion. The couple has one son, Mark Caltagirone and wife Debbie; and one daughter, Lisa Petch and husband Edward. They also have three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
