The Area Agency on Aging of Luzerne/Wyoming Counties announces that distribution of vouchers for the 2018 Senior Farmers Market Nutrition (Voucher Program) ended Sept. 30. Participants who have already received vouchers from the program have until Nov. 30 to redeem the vouchers. Some farmers market stands may close prior to the Nov. 30, 2018 date.
These vouchers can only be used to purchase PA grown fresh fruits and vegetables at farmers market stands that are participants of the Dept. of Agriculture’s SFMNP. Baked goods, meat, jam, honey, apple cider or eggs are not allowable for purchase with these vouchers.
