Calling all fourth, fifth and sixth-graders!

If you like to read for fun, talk about books, enjoy a snack, and love doing crafts, then this is the club for you! Miss Noelle and Miss Kristin are going to discuss “Spy School” by Stuart Gibbs at 4:25 p.m. May 9. We will provide a snack and make a craft related to the book. Call us at 570-654-9565 ext. 26 to register for this FREE club. Copies of the book, are available at the children’s circ desk.

Cassette Tape Wall-Art

Teens in grades 7-12 join us May 9 at 5:30 p.m. as we make some cool art using cassette tapes. Registration for this program is required as space is limited. Sign up by calling the library at 570-654-9565.

Photography Art Show

Please join us for the gallery opening of our first Photography Art Show, Gallery opening will take place on Friday, May 10 from 5 to 9 p.m.. Photographers will be available for a meet and greet while light refreshments will be served. On Saturday, May 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., guests will have another opportunity to view some wonderful work. Some artwork will be available for sale on both days. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the library. No reservation is necessary for this event. Please note: Photographer spaces are full and we are not taking any more for this event at this time.

PAMS Student Art Show

Join us Friday, May 17 from 5 to 8 p.m. for the Pittston Area Middle School Student Art Show.

Macrame Workshop

Join us as we welcome Macrame Vibes to the Pittston Memorial Library. We will host a macrame workshop on May 30 at 6 p.m. All materials will be provided. Cost is $25.

Class size is limited and spots will be reserved upon a payment of $25 cash. (Credit card and checks will not be accepted as payment. )

Grammar pencil sale

You asked for them… we got them. A set of five high-quality pencils with common grammar mistakes are just $5 and make a great gift for your favorite lit nerd.

Book Club

The Literary Snoops Book Club now meets at the West Pittston Library at 12:15 p.m. the second Wednesday of each month. Participants are encouraged to bring a bag lunch for the discussion.

WYOMING FREE LIBRARY

Gertude Hawk candy bar fundraiser

The library is selling Gertrude Hawk candy bars. Available flavors are peanut butter, crispy, caramel, solid milk and dark chocolate. Each bar is $1. All proceeds benefit the Wyoming Free Library.
