WEST WYOMING — All students attending The Cookie Corner Childcare Center were given the opportunity to observe the hatching process of chickens. Michelle Mc Hale, the mother of Pre-K Nursery School students, Harper and Declan, arranged for the school to house eight fertilized eggs during their final two weeks of incubation and beyond. It was very exciting to see the rapid growth, as the chicks were candled and viewed as embryos, then quickly grew once hatched. The teachers enriched the learning by reading books about the lifecycle of a chicken and incorporating crafts and rhyme.
