Valley Alliance Block Party will benefit school band programs

WEST PITTSTON – The Valley Alliance Church will hold its second annual block party from 1 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10 at 317 Luzerne Ave. This year’s event will benefit the Pittston Area and Wyoming Area Band Parents Associations.

All proceeds will be in support of each school’s award-winning music programs.

This year, raffle baskets, gift certificates, gift cards have been provided by Pittston Area and Wyoming Area businesses in support of the 2019 block party.

In addition to local business contributions, many alumni, Valley Alliance congregants and friends of the programs have made generous donations to the fundraiser.

The festivities will include complimentary hot dogs, cotton candy, popcorn, a joust game, bounce house, face painting and live music.

The first block party in 2018 was a great success, raising $700 for the West Pittston Fire Dept.
