WILKES-BARRE — Local residents Kristen Reap and Kathryn Wynn recently began 16-week student teaching placements through King’s College. Reap was placed at Dodson Elementary School and Wynn was placed at Dodson Elementary School and Solomon Elementary School.

Reap, a resident of Duryea, and Wynn, a resident of Pittston Township, were both May King’s graduates with bachelor’s degrees in elementary and special education. Reap, pictured left, was treasurer for the Kappa Delta Pi honors society and a dean’s list student. Wynn was treasurer for the college’s Education Club and a dean’s list student.

Student teaching is required to fulfill King’s teacher preparation requirements in order to obtain a Pennsylvania Teacher Certificate.
