PITTSTON — Come to Art E Fekts Gallery at 71 S. Main St. from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10 to see new works by artist Sam Barrese.

The exhibit, entitled “Blues Legends,” showcases this artist’s vivid acrylic portraits of musicians. All of the pieces will be for sale and on display for the remainder of the month of October. Enjoy wine and cheese while browsing fine art in the gallery and listening to live Blues music by musician Lee Delray.

Barrese has had his work displayed at The Antique Automobile Museum in Hershey, The State of Pennsylvania’s “Art of the State” exhibit in Harrisburg, and The Baseball Hall of Fame’s permanent art collection in Cooperstown, NY. He is a member of Motoring Artist Association.

He has participated in many of the area’s First Fridays and has donated a lot of his art to raise money for local musicians, Meals on Wheels, and local high school art courses. Barrese has also played drums for local bands Shearwater, Take Five, The Hurricanes and The Bell Mountain Blues band.
