Pittston Area senior Kara Miller had the honor of being chosen as first-place winner of the Wyoming Valley Youth Salute. She is the first ever Pittston Area student whose resume and personal essay were chosen for first place in the district. In late October, Kara will attend a national conference called ‘Town Meeting on Tomorrow” in St. Louis, along with other Youth Salute leaders around the country for a chance to compete for scholarships.
