EXETER — The Wyoming Area Scholarship Program announces the addition of two scholarships, bringing the total of scholarships added this year to nine.

The John Glatz Memorial Scholarship has been established in his memory by his nieces, Gwen and Ellie. It will be awarded to the Wyoming Area graduating senior who is a West Pittston resident and who has attained the highest weighted cumulative average in science (having also successfully completed a science course in grade 12).

The second new scholarship added is the Richard B. Anselmi Memorial Scholarship. It is an add-on award to the Exeter Lions/John B. Campbell Memorial Scholarship. Any Wyoming Area graduating senior who applies for the Exeter Lions Scholarship will be automatically considered for this new scholarship. The Exeter Lions selection committee will make the final selection. One recipient will be selected and awarded the Exeter Lions/John B. Campbell Memorial scholarship of $1,000 plus the Richard B. Anselmi Memorial scholarship of $1,000. Thus, the recipient will be awarded $2000.

Any Wyoming Area graduating senior interested in applying for any of the scholarship awards offered through this program should go online to the Wyoming Area School District website for specific requirements and detailed instructions for each award granted through this program.
