A Wyoming Area graduate and a current Warriors athlete both won javelin titles in the 126th Penn Relays at Franklin Field in Philadelphia.

Marc Minichello, a University of Pennsylvania senior, reached a personnel best with a throw of 254-0 to win the college division by more than 21½ feet.

Drew Mruk’s 192-3 was third-best in the high school division, but he received a watch as the award for the top throw by a U.S. high school athlete.

The junior edged Miles Higgins of Ligonier Valley, who finished fourth overall with a throw of 190-0.
