Wyoming Area is handling the transition from Division 2 to Division 1 in the Wyoming Valley Conference in boys soccer.
The Warriors, who are 5-1 overall, are 2-0 in the division to share the lead with Dallas, the only other division team that has not lost.
Lake-Lehman 6, Pittston Area boys 1
Lake-Lehman handed Pittston Area its first loss in WVC Division 2, moving into a second-place tie with the Patriots behind undefeated Holy Redeemer.
Pittston Area is 3-1 in its first season since coming down from Division 1. The Patriots are 4-4 overall.
Wyoming Area boys 3, Hazleton Area 2
Liam Burke had a goal and an assist when Wyoming Area defeated visiting Hazleton Area Thursday in its only game of the week.
Louis Ciampi and Kendall Heck also scored.

Pittston Area won Tuesday’s WVC Division 2 road game.
Fabrice Gatsinzi scored twice and assisted William Egan on the game-winner.
Jacob Ivey added a goal and an assist for the Patriots.

Fabrice Gatsinzi scored three goals as Pittston Area shut out visiting Nanticoke in the Sept. 10 WVC Division 2 game.
William Egan scored twice.
Wyoming Valley West 5, Pittston Area 1
Veronica Warunek scored two first-half goals and Lola Wojciechowski had two in the second half for Wyoming Valley West in Friday’s WVC Division 1 game.
Jordan McGoff scored for Pittston Area, which fell to 0-3 in the division and 3-3 overall.
Lake-Lehman 2, Wyoming Area girls 1
Ashley Hudak and Hailey Kline scored for Lake-Lehman Thursday when it handed Wyoming Area its first WVC Division 2 loss.
The Lady Warriors fell to 2-1, third in the division behind Holy Redeemer and Lake-Lehman. They are 5-2 overall.
Halle Kranson scored and Olivia Allen made 10 saves for Wyoming Area.
Crestwood 9, Pittston Area girls 2
Pittston Area was routed on its home field by Crestwood in Tuesday’s WVC Division 1 game.

Halle Kranson scored three goals and assisted on four in Monday’s WVC Division 2 romp by Wyoming Area.
Hannah Fairchild, who had three assists, and Anna Wisnewski scored twice each.
Hannah Stoss had the other goal 35 seconds into the second half.
Olivia Allen had a four-save shutout.
Valley View 3, Wyoming Area girls 1
Unbeaten Valley View won the Sept. 10 non-league game on its home field.
It was the first loss by the Lady Warriors, who started 4-0.
