Emmie Rowe scored 18 points Friday night as host Central Columbia spoiled Mark Casper’s debut as head coach by defeating Wyoming Area, 56-37, in the opener of the Lady Jays Tip-Off Classic.
Caitlyn Weatherill added 16 points for Central Columbia, which went on a 21-2 run from late in the first quarter until early in the third.
The Lady Warriors led early and the game was tied after one quarter, but an 18-2 second quarter put the Lady Jays up 33-17 at halftime.
Morgan Janeski led Wyoming Area with 19 points.
