Isabella Caporuscio scored six goals and assisted on three others Thursday to lead the way as host Crestwood continued its pursuit of a third straight District 2 Class 2A girls lacrosse title with a 14-7 victory over Wyoming Area in a semifinal game.

The Lady Comets are unbeaten in District 2 this season, including winning the Wyoming Valley Conference championship. The top seeds will host second-seeded Abington Heights Monday at 5:45 p.m. for the title.

Julia Glowacki added two goals and two assists for Crestwood while Kennedie Huber added three assists and Morgan Koons had six assists.

Wyoming Area was led by Sofia Sabatini with four goals and one assist.

Addison Byers, Halle Kranson and Julianna Gonzales scored the other goals. Erica Gilligan made eight saves.

Wyoming Area 16, Dallas 15

Halle Kranson scored the game-winning goal with 5:59 left for Wyoming Area, which shut out host Dallas for the final 8:41 after a high-scoring first half.

Julianna Gonzales had seven goals, including the 100th of her career, as the fifth-seeded Lady Warriors avenged a regular-season loss to the tournament’s fourth seed.

Sofia Sabatini had five goals, three assists and four groundballs.

Kranson’s game-winner was her second goal of the game. She also had two assists and won 17 of 31 draws.

Gonzales had six of her goals as Wyoming Area was taking a 12-11 halftime lead.

Lila Rehill, who had four groundballs, and Krea Bonita also scored.

Karly Saranchuk handled three groundballs.

The Lady Warriors finished 12-5.
