Shortstop Alex Rosencrance threw out a runner at the plate to end the game Friday, securing Greater Pittston’s first Wyoming Valley Prep American Legion Baseball League win of the season, 4-3, over Swoyersville.
Catcher Ryan Noone applied the tag for the last out of the game for Greater Pittston, which had lost its first two games.
Dominic Marranca made it through the seven innings in 81 pitches to pick up the win.
