Wyoming Area continued its title run in track and field.

With two wins each from the boys and girls teams, Wyoming Valley swept the Wyoming Valley Conference Division 2 championships for the fourth straight season.

Both teams are undefeated in the division during that time.

For the Wyoming Area boys, the streak extends back two more years. The Warriors are 37-0 in the division with six titles since 2019 when they returned from Division 1. The 2021 season was canceled because of COVID.

Wyoming Area girls 121, Holy Redeemer 29

Taylor Gashi set a school record while Lucia Campenni won three individual events Thursday to lead Wyoming Area to the title-clinching victory.

Gashi’s record came in the long jump where she went 17-6¾. She also won the triple jump with 36-7 and finished second in the 100-meter hurdles in 16.2 seconds, one-tenth behind Campenni.

Campenni’s other wins came with 1:04.1 in the 400 and 4-4 in the high jump.

The Lady Warriors used the same lineup to win both the 3200 and 1600 relays.

Two of those team members, Ella McKernan (300 hurdles) and Hannah Stoss (800) also won an individual event.

Shannon Kearns and Franki Pizano were the other relay members.

Wyoming Area boys 125, Holy Redeemer 20

Lidge Kellum won three times as Wyoming Area finished first in 16 of 18 events to complete its sixth straight perfect season in the division.

Kellum swept both hurdles races and was part of the 400 relay. He won the 110 high hurdles in 15.6 and the 300 in 41.2.

The Warriors swept the relays and had four other athletes both contribute to a relay victory and win and individual event.

Jack Gravine and Gage Speece won the 100 and 200 along with being on the 400 relay team. Brady Kearns and Drew Keating finished first in the 400 and 800 along with being part of the 3200 relay.

Wyoming Area girls 122, Hanover Area 26

Taylor Gashi won four events – two throws and two jumps – Tuesday to lead Wyoming Area past visiting Hanover Area.

Gashi won the shot put with 31-3½ and discus with 105-0 while also taking first place in the long jump with 17-5 and triple jump with 37-0.

Lucia Campenni won the 100 hurdles and 400 along with running a leg of the 1600 relay win.

Ella McKernan won the 800 in 2:15 and was part of two relay victories.

Isabella Costa won the 100 and 200 dashes in 13.40 and 27.70.

Sofia Menta won 1600 and Kierstyn Orlandini the 3200 in addition to each being part of a relay win.

Hannah Stoss was on two winning relays.

Wyoming Area boys 110, Hanover Area 36

Lidge Kellum swept both hurdles and ran on the winning 400 relay team Tuesday when Wyoming Area won at home.

Kellum ran the 110 high hurdles in 16.5 seconds and the 300 in 43.2.

Colby Walsh and Nicholas Kondrosky each won twice.

Walsh won the 1600 in 5:05 and 3200 in 12:05.

Kondrosky finished first in the long jump with 20-0 and triple jump with 42-4.

Jack Gravine, in the 100, and Gage Speece, in the 200, won sprints and contributed to the 400 relay win.
