The Greater Pittston Junior American Legion team earned a Wyoming Valley League playoff play-in opportunity by snapping out of a season-long slump with a doubleheader sweep of Tunkhannock June 29 and a forfeit victory Tuesday.
Greater Pittston won at Tunkhannock 9-1 and 15-0.
Greater Pittston broke open a 3-1 game with five runs in the top of the fourth inning in the first of the two scheduled five-inning games.
Nico Baldoni, who scored twice, and Mason Wolf had two hits each.
