YATESVILLE – Seniors Erin Senese and Katrina Dillon had already made Pittston Area a winner in its season opener before the holiday break.
Senese and Dillon teamed again Tuesday, leading the way when the Lady Patriots won their home debut under coach Heather Clancy.
With Senese again winning the maximum four events while Dillon was taking three and dominating the distance events, Pittston Area routed Meyers, 133-37, in a Wyoming Valley Conference swim meet.
The Lady Patriots dominated, not allowing the Mohawks a first- or second-place finish in any event.
As she had in a 114-68 win at Wyoming Area in the conference opener, Senese won two individual and two relay events.
Dillon won the day’s first individual event, taking the 200-yard freestyle in 2:32.25, and she swam the final leg of the closing 400 relay win. In between, she won the day’s longest race, taking the 500 freestyle in 6:49.52.
“She did very well,” Pittston Area coach Heather Clancy said. “She’s our distance swimmer.
“She had good times. She was way ahead of the pack.”
Senese won the 200 individual medley in 2:44.49 and the 100 butterfly in 1:13.65. She was also part of the medley relay win and led off the winning 200 freestyle relay.
Juliet Lawler got the winning day started with the backstroke leg of the opening medley relay. She also won the 100 backstroke later in the meet and led off again on the 400 freestyle relay team.
Jordan Zbegner (100 breaststroke), Mackenzie Connors (50 freestyle) and Kaitlyn Connors (100 freestyle) each won an individual event and swam a winning relay leg.
Madi Osticco took the diving competition unopposed.
