Wyoming Area’s power play came through but the team struggled at even strength and fell short Dec. 30 with a 6-2 loss to Wyoming Seminary in the championship game of the Casey Classic at the Toyota Sportsplex in Wilkes-Barre.

Wyoming Area was 2-for-4 on the power play.

C.J. Rome scored in the second period after Wyoming Seminary had opened a 4-0 lead.

Wyoming Seminary built the lead to 6-1 before Matthew Romanowski scored in the third period.

Alex Hawk, Jake Kelleher, Patrick Musinski and Nick Perry had assists.

Musinski finished tied for fourth in points in the seven-team tournament with 11. He was tied for second among goal scorers with nine.

Alex Hawk tied for eighth in scoring with three goals and six points.
