Avoca/Dupont LL meeting is April 8
AVOCA — The next monthly meeting for the Avoca/Dupont Little League will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday, April 8, at the Avoca Borough building, 950 Main St.
Items to be discussed will be planning for the spring season, as well as the regular league business.
All coaches are to attend the meeting.
Anyone wishing to volunteer, as well as anyone generally interested in the league, is welcome to attend.
Avoca Dupont LL seaosn begins April 14
AVOCA — Opening day for the Avoca/Dupont Little League will be Saturday, April 14.
The ceremonies will begin at noon, and all players and coaches are to arrive by 11:30 a.m.
The league will be holding its hit-a-thon fundraiser during the event.
Little League sets fundraiser
AVOCA — The third annual Avoca/Dupont Little League cash bingo fundraiser will be held Sunday, April 29 at the Queen of the Apostles Church Hall. Doors open at noon and games begin at 1 p.m.
There will be 15 regular games worth $100 each, three special games worth $150 each, and a coverall game worth $250. In addition, there will be a basket raffle and food available for purchase.
